XADM: Objects Added to the Builtin Container in Windows 2000 Active Directory Users and Computers Are Not Replicated to Exchange Server 5.5 (239896)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q239896 SYMPTOMS
If you create an Active Directory Connector (ADC) Connection Agreement to replicate from Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory to Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, and you select the "root" in Windows 2000 (this includes the Builtin, Computers, Domain Controllers, and Users containers), all objects in every container are replicated to Exchange Server 5.5 except the objects that are in the Builtin container.
CAUSE
The Builtin object is neither an organizational unit nor a container; it is an instance of the "builtinDomain" object class. There is no schema map for this type of container.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
