When you shut down and turn off your computer, the tail light on pointing
devices that use the Microsoft IntelliEye technology may remain lit.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the PS/2 port or the Universal Serial Bus (USB)
port in your computer remains powered after you shut down and turn off the
computer.
