This article was previously published under Q239676 SYMPTOMS After you install one of the products listed in the
"Applies to" section on a Sony VAIO computer, the pointing device may behave
unpredictably.
Additionally, on Microsoft Windows XP-based computers,
the USB or Bluetooth mouse may not wake from "suspend" mode.CAUSE This behavior may occur if you have installed the product
on a Sony VAIO PCG-505RS computer that has a VersaPad.
VersaPad and
the IntelliPoint software use some of the same features, features that may
conflict with each other.
This behavior may also occur if there is an
issue in the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System, USB 2.0 and the NEC
Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) card.
Microsoft IntelliPoint
software may not function correctly if a different pointing device program is
installed.
A low battery power level may cause mouse errors and
irregular behavior.RESOLUTION To resolve this behavior, disable the VersaPad drivers.
Contact your VersaPad manufacturer for more information about how to do
this. For information about how to contact your manufacturer, click the appropriate article number in the following list to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 65416 Hardware and software vendor contact information, A-K
