  • Microsoft Windows CE for the Palm-size PC, Versions 2.11

This article was previously published under Q239529

SYMPTOMS

If you perform a full backup of your Palm-size PC (P/PC), cold or hard reset the device, and then restore your device from the backup, the clock and appointments on the device may be moved ahead by one hour from your desktop PC.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the following steps after you restore the backup:
  1. Perform a warm reset of the device. (A warm reset is different from a cold or hard reset in that the batteries remain in the device, and you press the Reset button.)
  2. Change the time zone on the device to any other time zone.
  3. Change the time zone back to the correct time zone.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
