When you attempt to remove any of the products listed at the beginning of
this article, you may receive the following error message:
Setup is unable to register tasks.
If you click OK, you receive the following error message:
Canceling the Installation Wizard
The Installation Wizard was interrupted before Microsoft Home Publishing
2000 could be completely installed.
To install Microsoft Home Publishing 2000 at a later time, insert the
disc into the disc drive. On the Windows taskbar, click the Start button,
and then click Run. In the Open box, type the name of the disc drive you
are using, followed by Setup.exe.
To exit the Installation Wizard, click Finish.
NOTE: Reinstalling the affected product does not resolve
this issue.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you removed one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article without using
the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, reinstall the program and then remove the program by
using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.
