SYMPTOMS

When you try to set timing on table cells, all the timing properties for individual cells are unavailable (dimmed).

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: For Multi-Celled Tables, Select Multiple Cells

  1. Open the page that contains the table.
  2. Select to highlight a few cells, including the cells that you want to time.
  3. On the Table menu, point to Properties, and then click Cell.
  4. Click the Timing tab.
  5. Set Time under Start property at to 1s (one second).

NOTE: Setting the Time property does not actually set the start time for the cells; doing so only adds the cells to the timeline.
  6. Note that the table cells appear in the timeline with a start time of zero (0). You can click and drag a cell in the timeline to adjust the cell start time to the time that you want.

NOTE: If you do not want to set the timing of a cell that you have selected, right-click the cell in the timeline and click Remove All Timing on the shortcut menu to remove the cell from the timeline.

Method 2: For Single-Cell Tables or Tables Where You Want to Time Every Cell

  1. Open the page that contains the table.
  2. Select the table.
