This article was previously published under Q239343

SYMPTOMS

When you print a mail-merge document from the Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor, you may experience one of the following symptoms if you format a paragraph that contains a mail-merge field:
  • If you insert a border around the paragraph that contains the mail-merge field, a partial border is displayed below the last line of text in the document.
  • If you add shading to the paragraph that contains the mail-merge field, one extra shaded line is displayed below the last line of text in the document.
  • If you insert a border around the entire document part of the border is not printed.
NOTE: If you send the mail-merge results to a new document, and then print the document, the symptoms reappear on every page of the new document except for the last page of the document, which is printed as expected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works 2000.
