SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print a document that contains colored text or other colored objects to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 692C printer, certain colors may not be printed as expected.

For example, the HP DeskJet 692C prints all of the following colors as the same shade of red:

  • Brown
  • Dark red
  • Light rose
  • Orange
  • Red
  • Rose
  • Tan

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the printer driver for your printer is outdated.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the latest printer driver for your printer from the following Hewlett-Packard Web site:
