SYMPTOMS

When you insert a picture into a column in a Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor document, the picture may be only partially visible.

In addition, when you print the document, the picture may not be printed properly.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the picture is wider than the width of the column.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, resize the picture to fit within the column:
  1. Open the Works 2000 Word Processor document that contains the truncated picture.
  2. Click the picture to select it.
  3. Click and drag one of the sizing handles for the picture to resize the picture frame to fit within the column.

NOTE: To maintain the proportions of the picture, press and hold down the SHIFT key as you click and drag one of the corner sizing handles.
  4. On the File menu, click Save.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works 2000.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Works 6.
