This article was previously published under Q239227

SYMPTOMS

When you create a document with the Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor, and there is a table inserted into the document, and you then add bullets or numbers to all the paragraphs and the table, you cannot select and remove all the bullets or numbers at once.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because a table has been included when the bullets or numbers are added.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, do not include the table when you select the paragraphs to which you want to add bullets or numbers.

If you want the numbers to continue one up after the table has been inserted, click Bullets and Numbering on the Format menu. To make the numbering sequence continue beyond a table, follow these steps:
  1. Select all the paragraphs or list items that occur after the table.
  2. If numbers are not already present, click Numbering on the Standard toolbar.
  3. Click Bullets and Numbering on the Format menu.
  4. Click the Numbered tab.
  5. Type or select the number that you want in the Starting Number box, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works 2000.

MORE INFORMATION
