When you double-click a cell to activate it in a Microsoft Works 2000 Spreadsheet or a Works Database, opening quotation marks precede the text in the cell.
CAUSE
This is the behavior of any text string in a cell in a spreadsheet or database file.
For example, if you type the following text in a cell in a spreadsheet or database
and then press ENTER, and you then double-click the cell to activate it, the cell displays the following:
