  • Microsoft Works 6

This article was previously published under Q239150

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Works Word Processor document that contains a table in Microsoft Works 2000 or Microsoft Works 6, when you press CTRL+END, Works does not move the insertion point to the end of the document. Likewise, when you press CTRL+HOME, Works does not move the insertion point to the beginning of the document.

When you press CTRL+END, Works moves the insertion point to the end of a table. When you press CTRL+HOME, Works moves the insertion point to the beginning of a table.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your document contains a table, and the insertion point is in a cell within the table.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, click anywhere outside of the table so that the insertion point is not in the table.

When you now press CTRL+HOME, the insertion point moves to the beginning of the document, and when you press CTRL+END, the insertion point moves to the end of the document.
