SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Works 2000 Calendar or Microsoft Works 6 Calendar, the text in the banners at the top of the Calendar may be truncated.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you select a custom font size that is scaled to be 200% or more of the normal font size.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reduce the scaling of the custom font size to less than 200%:
  1. Quit all programs that are running on your computer except Explorer and Systray (which are components of Microsoft Windows). To do this:
    1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
    2. In the Close Program dialog box, click any program except Explorer or Systray, and then click End Task. If you receive a message stating that the program has stopped responding, click End Task again.
    3. Repeat step 2 to quit all programs except Explorer and Systray.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Display.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. In the Font size box, click Other.

If you are running Works 2000 or Works 6 on a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer:
    1. Click Advanced.
    2. On the General tab, click Other in the Font size box.
  6. In the Scale fonts to be percentage of normal size box, click a percentage of less than 200%.
  7. Click OK, and then click OK again.

If you are running Works 2000 or Works 6 on a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer, click OK, and then click Close.
  8. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
