PRJ98: Error Message: You Need to Specify a Recipient in the To Box Before This Message Can Be Sent (239084)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you send a workgroup message, you may receive the following error message:
You need to specify a recipient in the To Box before this message can be sent

CAUSE

This error message may occur when the Default workgroup messaging for resources option is set to None.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Workgroup tab.
  2. In the Default workgroup messaging for resources list, click any option other than None.
  3. Click OK.
