VIZACT: WordArt Text Following a Quotation Mark Does Not Appear (239021)

SYMPTOMS

When you insert WordArt that begins with a quotation mark ("), an empty WordArt box outline appears.

-or-

When you insert WordArt, any WordArt text following a quotation mark does not appear in the WordArt text.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use the following method:
  1. Open the page that you want to add WordArt to.
  2. On the Insert menu, click WordArt.
  3. Insert the WordArt, but do not use any quotation marks.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Double-click the WordArt to open the Edit WordArt Text dialog box.
  6. Add any quotation marks to the text, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

Some other special characters may cause other unexpected results when you use WordArt in Vizact. Use the same work around that is mentioned in this article to resolve these issues.
