WD2000: Page Setup Changes to Letter in Documents Converted from Word for Windows NT, version 6.0 (238234)

When a document that was created in Microsoft Word for Windows NT, version 6.0, is opened in Microsoft Word 2000, the paper size may change from A4 to Letter.
CAUSE
Word for Windows NT does not save any paper size information by default. You will see this problem if the document was created on a computer with a Regional Setting that uses a different page size by default. English (UK) uses A4, for example, and English (US) uses Letter as the default paper size.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
