Incorrect Keyboard Response After Pressing Windows Logo Key Three Times in MS-DOS Session (237846)

SYMPTOMS

If you press the ALT+Windows logo key combination three times in a row, the keyboard behaves as if the Windows logo key is still pressed. For example, if you then press E, Windows Explorer starts (as if you had pressed Windows logo+E).

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, press ALT+Windows logo again.

STATUS

This problem has been corrected in Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs in a "clean" installation of Windows 95 or Windows 98, and occurs only when you are running an MS-DOS session (either in a window or in full-screen mode).
