FIX: Permissions Not Changed Correctly Using SQL Enterprise Manager (237703)

SYMPTOMS

Cycling through table permissions in the Object Properties dialog box in SQL Server Enterprise Manager (SEM), and using the Apply button to set a permission to DENY, actually sets the permission on the table to REVOKE.

To change the permission back to DENY:
  1. In the Object Properties dialog box, click OK.
  2. Re-open the Object Properties dialog box, and then click OK each time you change the permissions state.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
