VIZACT: Invalid Page Fault in Kernel.dll or Msjava.dll Starting Vizact (237007)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Vizact 2000, you may receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
When you click Details, you see one of the following messages:
VIZACT caused an invalid page fault in KERNEL.DLL.
-or-
VIZACT caused an invalid page fault in MSJAVA.DLL.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when you do not have enough available memory to run Vizact 2000. Most often this error message occurs when your computer has less than the required, or recommended, amount of system RAM (Random Access Memory).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, upgrade your computer so that it at least has the amount of memory recommended to run Vizact 2000. To use Microsoft Vizact 2000, Microsoft recommends the following minimum system requirement for system RAM:
  • For Windows 95 or Windows 98: 24 - 32 megabytes (MB) of RAM
  • For Windows NT Workstation: 36 - 40 MB of RAM
