Web Site Root Properties Are Manipulated When Creating a Project Targeting a Route (235981)

When you create a new Content Deployment Project with a Content Deployment Route as the destination and you specify that an Internet Information Server virtual directory be created for the project, the following problem occurs: On the end-point servers of the Content Deployment Route, the Local Path and the Script Permission properties of the Web site's root directory are manipulated, even though the virtual directory was created correctly .
CAUSE
This problem is caused by the Site Server Content Deployment service on the end-point server, which does not handle relative URLs correctly.
