User Is Able to Remote Control a Terminal Services Session After Removing the Permission (235484)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q235484 SUMMARY
After an administrator removes the Remote Control permission for a user and/or group on an RDP-TCP connection on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server computer, the user and/or group continues to have the ability to remote control sessions that were established prior to the change.
The inverse of this is true as well. After an administrator adds the Remote Control permission for a user and/or group on a Remote Display Protocol Transmission Control Protocol (RDP-TCP) connection on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server computer, the user and/or group is not able to remote control sessions that were established prior to the change.
This behavior is by design.
