ACC2000: Switchboard Manager Does Not Appear on Add-Ins Submenu as Expected (235430)

SYMPTOMS

The following Microsoft Access 2000 Help topics
  • "Create a switchboard form by using the Switchboard Manager"
  • "Create a new switchboard that you can open from the opening switchboard"
  • "Make a change to an existing switchboard"
  • "Change which switchboard automatically displays when you open the database"
  • "Delete a switchboard"
have one of the following statements in the first few steps of the instructions:
  • If you created the switchboard by using the Switchboard Manager, click Add-Ins on the Tools menu, and then click Switchboard Manager.

    -or-
  • On the Tools menu, point to Add-Ins, and then click Switchboard Manager.
This information is not correct. The Switchboard Manager does not appear on the Add-Ins submenu on the Tools menu as it does in earlier versions of Microsoft Access.

RESOLUTION

The Switchboard Manager now appears on the Database Utilities submenu on the Tools menu. To start the Switchboard Manager:
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Database Utilities.
  2. Click Switchboard Manager.
