When you select to include captions under the photos that you import, the captions consist of just the file name and not the extension. However, you can edit these captions afterward by clicking the text and adding the appropriate three-letter extension to the file name.
After you create the PhotoAlbum, you can rewrite, expand, and modify the captions.
