This article was previously published under Q234943 SYMPTOMS
When you receive an HTML-formatted e-mail message that contains an embedded graphic, you can only save that graphic as a bitmap (.bmp) file.
RESOLUTION
Save the file to your desktop as a bitmap image. You can then open the file in an editor such as Microsoft Image Composer, or any editor that can manipulate bitmap images, and save it in the appropriate file format.
MORE INFORMATIONNOTE: You can save the file in a different file format; however, anytime you change image formats or convert to a different format you run the risk of degrading the image. Use this resolution with caution.
