Error 80070002 Using Windows Media Player (234180)

SYMPTOMS

When you click a link or try to open a file with Windows Media Player, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot open 'http://ServerName/Path/Filename.asf'. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=80070002)

CAUSE

This error message occurs when you use an address (or URL) that directs Windows Media Player to a file that does not exist. The file may have been inadvertently moved or deleted from the server.

RESOLUTION

If you typed the address in the Open dialog box, you may have accidentally misspelled the file name. Check the spelling and try again. If you receive the error message when you click a link on a Web page, please contact the content provider for additional help.
