FP2000: Word Document Saved in RTF Format Does Not Display Headers and Footers in FrontPage (233480)

SYMPTOMS

When you save a Microsoft Word document with headers and footers in Rich Text Format (RTF), and then you save or import the document into a FrontPage web, the headers and footers are not displayed in Page view.

CAUSE

FrontPage uses the same Rich Text converter as Microsoft Word. The Rich Text converter does not support the conversion of headers and footers to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
