following error: Error 3307, Level 21, State 1
Process %d was expected to hold logical lock on page %d. WORKAROUND To work around this problem, try either of the following:
- Change the lock escalation thresholds to avoid lock
escalation on updates that affect many data pages. For additional information
about lock escalation, please see the following article in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base:

-or- - Request an explicit table lock by using the TABLOCKX
optimizer hint in your UPDATE statement.
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server
version 6.5. This problem has been corrected in the Post Service Pack 5a Update
for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. To install the Post Service Pack 5a
Update, you must have either SQL Server 6.5 SP5 or SP5a installed.
