BUG: Cannot Delete OLAP Service Directory After Removing OLAP Services (232864)

SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to remove the OLAP Services directory on a Windows NT file system (NTFS) partition, after removing the OLAP Services using the uninstall utility, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot delete *.prt: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.
WORKAROUND
After the uninstall and reboot, manually change the permissions on each file in the data directory to full control and you will be able to remove the directory.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
