Cakewalk Pro Audio In-Line Record Feature May Not Function Correctly (232751)

After you upgrade to Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition with the Cakewalk Pro Audio version 8.04 program by Twelve Tone Systems installed, you may experience any one of the following symptoms:
- The in-line record feature of the Cakewalk Pro Audio program may not function correctly.
- While you are recording a Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) file, the audio portion of a MIDI file may not be synchronized.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you are using a sound card that has an OPL3-SA chip set and the Audio Hardware setting of the Cakewalk Pro Audio program is set to "Windows Sound Cards (DirectShow 5.1)."
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue:
- In Cakewalk Pro Audio, click Audio Hardware on the Tools menu.
- Click Windows Sound Cards.
- Click OK, and then click OK.
- Quit Cakewalk Pro Audio.
- Restart Cakewalk Pro Audio.
