WaveTop 2.0 May Not Detect TV Tuner Card (232285)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the WaveTop 2.0 configuration wizard in Windows 98, you may receive the following error message:
No compatible Tuner Card was detected.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you install WaveTop after you install Windows 98 Second Edition on a computer that does not contain an ATI All-in-Wonder or ATI All-in-Wonder Pro display adapter.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall Windows 98 Second Edition.

After you reinstall Windows 98 Second Edition, run the WaveTop configuration wizard again to detect and configure your TV tuner card.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this behavior is not caused by a problem in Windows 98, but may be caused by design changes in Windows 98. For more information about resolving this issue, contact the program's manufacturer.
