OL2000: Error Message When Saving Yearly or Monthly Recurring Hijri Appointment in iCal Format (232204)

NOTE: This article discusses complex scripts functionality. SYMPTOMS

If you have a monthly or yearly recurring Hijri appointment or meeting request, you receive an internal application error message when saving the item in iCal format.

CAUSE

The iCal format does not support saving recurring appointments in calendar types other than Gregorian.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem:

Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
Double-click Regional Settings, and click the Date tab.
In the Calendar type list, click to select Gregorian Calendar.
