MSN Shortcuts Remain After Uninstalling Windows 98 Second Edition (231882)

After you uninstall Windows 98 Second Edition to restore the original version of Microsoft Windows 98, the "MSN, The Microsoft Network"
version 5.0 Quick View tool may remain on the right side of the taskbar, and MSN version 5.0 shortcuts may remain on the Start menu. Also, these shortcuts no longer function.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, manually remove the MSN shortcuts and the MSN Quick View tool:
- Click Start, right-click MSN Internet Access, and then click Delete.
- Click Start, point to Programs, right-click MSN Internet Access, and then click Delete.
- Click Start, point to Programs, click
StartUp, right-click MSN Quick View shortcut, and then click Delete.
- Restart your computer.
