MS-DOS-based game programs may run slower, run with impaired functionality, or not run at all on your Windows 2000-based computer.
CAUSE
This issue can occur because some MS-DOS-based game programs may require or request direct use of hardware resources, but Windows 2000 does not permit programs to use hardware directly.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact the vendor of your MS-DOS-based game program to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
To work around this issue, create and use an MS-DOS boot disk for games installed on a FAT16 file system hard disk partition. For information about how to create and use an MS-DOS boot disk, contact the vendor of your MS-DOS-based game program.
