Net Nanny May Not Filter Inappropriate Internet Sites (231787)

SYMPTOMS

When you browse the Internet with Net Nanny installed, Net Nanny may not filter out inappropriate Internet sites.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you visit an inappropriate Internet site before Net Nanny is installed or while Net Nanny is disabled, and the site has been cached locally on your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, empty the Temporary Internet Files folder and clear the History folder in Internet Explorer:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet.
  2. On the General tab, click Delete Files, and then click OK.
  3. Click Clear History, click OK, and then click OK.
  4. Restart your computer.
After you restart your computer, install or enable Net Nanny before you browse the Internet.
