When you play Microsoft Midtown Madness, you may encounter any of the following symptoms: - Random geometric shapes may be displayed on the screen.
- Screen elements such as clouds may flicker or not be displayed properly.
- Textures may not be displayed properly.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if your display adapter does not support the display settings selected in the game.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, set the Texture Quality setting to Low and the Resolution setting to 512 x 384 pixels. To do this, follow these steps: - On the Midtown Madness startup screen, click Options.
- Click Graphics Options.
- Under Texture Quality, click Low.
- Under Resolution, click 512 x 384.
- Click Done.
If the problem continues to occur, follow these steps: - On the Midtown Madness startup screen, click Options.
- Click Graphics Options.
- Under Renderer, click Software Renderer.
- Click Done.
