SYMPTOMS

If your computer is configured to dual boot Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, you may be unable to start MapPoint 2000 under Windows NT 4.0.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You installed MapPoint 2000 under both Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0

  • You removed MapPoint 2000 under Windows 95/98.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall MapPoint 2000 under Windows NT 4.0.

When you remove MapPoint 2000 under Windows 95/98, you remove the path to the program from the Windows registry.
