Windows 2000 Loses Mouse on Resume on ThinkPad 380XD and 600E (231458)

If you move the mouse pointer while your computer is resuming after being suspended, the mouse may stop working.
This behavior does not occur if you do not move the mouse during the resume process.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the mouse is responding with 0xFC, which is the PS/2 command for "too many errors have occurred." This is a system BIOS issue and is not an issue with Windows 2000.
This behavior has been identified on the following computers:
- ThinkPad 380XD
- ThinkPad 600E
