SYMPTOMS

After you install an Active Desktop item and view the schedule in the properties of that item, the items that are scheduled to run using Task Scheduler may not run when they are scheduled to run. Also, if Microsoft Windows Critical Update Notification is installed, this item may not appear in the list of scheduled tasks.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, restart your computer.
