Cannot Run Power Management Tool on Toshiba with Windows 98 Second Edition (230362)

After you upgrade a Toshiba computer with a factory-loaded version of Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows 98 Second Edition, you may not be able to use the Power Management tool in Control Panel.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if version 1.2 or earlier of the Toshiba Pwrtray.exe tool is loaded on the computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, obtain a newer version of the Toshiba Windows 98 Controls tool from Toshiba. You can download this tool from the following Toshiba Web site:

To work around this issue, you can use the Toshpwr.inf file to disable the Pwrtray.exe tool and allow access to the Windows 98 Second Edition power-management tool. To do this, using My Computer or Windows Explorer, right-click the Toshpwr.inf file in the Tools\MTSutil folder on the Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM, and then click Install.
