SYMPTOMS

When you install Links LS 1999 Edition, you may receive the following error message when Links LS 99 Setup attempts to copy the Modes of Play Files:
Unknown Error

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a 16-bit (real-mode) driver for your CD-ROM drive.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact your hardware manufacturer to inquire about how to obtain a 32-bit (protected-mode) driver for your CD-ROM drive.
