SYMPTOMS

When you play Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive, the graphics in the game may appear jagged or you may receive an error message stating that you do not have enough memory.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if insufficient random access memory (RAM) is installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, create a system disk, and then start the computer and the game using the system disk.

To create a system disk:

  1. Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode.
  2. Insert a blank, formatted floppy disk into your floppy disk drive.
  3. Type cd\pandora, and then press ENTER.
  4. Type autoboot, and then press ENTER.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to create a system disk.
To start the computer and the game using the system disk:

  1. Insert the system disk into your floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer.
  2. At the MS-DOS prompt, type cd\pandora, and then press ENTER.
  3. To start the game, type pandora, and then press ENTER.
  4. When you complete the game, remove the system disk from your floppy disk drive and then restart the computer.
