Links LS 99: Game Quits When You Play Latrobe Courses (229996)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to play any of the Latrobe courses in Links LS 1999 Edition, the game may quit unexpectedly and you may be returned to the Windows desktop.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you configure the Environmental Sounds setting to use Minimum Quality or Medium Quality.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the Links LS 99 version 1.21 patch.

To work around this issue, configure the Environmental Sounds setting to use Maximum Quality. To do this:

Start Links LS 99.
On the Links LS 99 startup screen, click Options.
On the Options screen, click Sound Setup.
Under Environmental Sound, click Maximum Quality.
Click OK, and then click Close.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Links LS 1999 Edition.
