WD98: FileMaker Pro Add-In Alert: This Wizard Couldn't Find a Supported Version of FileMaker(r) Pro (229830)

SYMPTOMS

When you start the Word 98 FileMaker Pro add-in while your local copy of FileMaker Pro is running over the network from another computer, the following error message may appear:
Alert: This wizard couldn't find a supported version of FileMaker(r) Pro. Make sure that either version 3 or 4 is installed before continuing.
When you click OK on this error message, the error message disappears but then re-appears. You then must press and hold down the COMMAND+OPTION+ESC keys to "force quit" Word 98.

CAUSE

FileMaker Pro does not support more than one user when running a single user copy of FileMaker Pro.
