XL98: Clicking "Import From FileMaker" Causes Excel to Quit Unexpectedly (229680)

SYMPTOMS

When you point to Get External Data on the Data menu and click Import From Filemaker, Microsoft Excel unexpectedly quits.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The AppleScript extension is disabled.

    -and-

  • The AppleSpriptLib extension is enabled.

WORKAROUND

Enable the AppleScript extension. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels and then click Extensions Manager.
  2. In the list of available extensions, click AppleScript.
  3. Click Restart.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
