CRS Inherits ACLS from CRSTEMP Directory (229618)

SYMPTOMS

Content Replication System (CRS) 2.0 inherits the permissions from the CRSTEMP directory instead of the source directory in the fastmode replication.

CAUSE

The administrator group has been removed from the Managing Auditing Log's user right.

RESOLUTION

Add the administrator group from the Managing Auditing Log user right.
  1. Go to User Manager.
  2. Select Policies, and then select User Rights.
  3. Select Managing Auditing Log.
  4. Add the group Administrator.

WORKAROUND

Use framemode replication instead of fastmode.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
