FP2000: Error Message: Server Error: There Is a Problem with Source Control Integration on Your Server (229541)

SYMPTOMS

After you check out a file by using the Lightweight Source Control in FrontPage, you cannot check in the file, and the following error message appears:
Server Error: There is a problem with source control integration on your server. Contact your web server Administrator.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if a FrontPage Form Results Component has been submitted to the page.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, open the page that is checked out, and manually save it back to the Web.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
