SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition does not function.

CAUSE

The files for HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition are replaced by the standard-version HyperTerminal files that are included with Windows 98 Second Edition.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rename the following files and then reinstall HyperTerminal 4.0 Personal Edition:
