Sygate Host Cannot View Clients in Network Neighborhood After Upgrade (229179)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
This article was previously published under Q229179 SYMPTOMS
When you upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows 98 Second Edition on a computer running as a Sygate host, network connectivity may be lost. In Network Neighborhood, the Sygate host can view only itself. Sygate clients can still view each other, but cannot see the host (although pinging still works).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, uninstall Sygate on the host computer, and then reinstall Sygate on the host computer. Then, restart all the client computers.
