Taskbar May Disappear When Using the Magnifier Tool (229137)

When you are using the Magnifier tool, the taskbar on the desktop may not be displayed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you are using the "Use High Contrast mode" option in Magnifier and the "Auto hide" option is enabled for the taskbar.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, disable the "Auto hide" option for the taskbar:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
- On the Taskbar Options tab, click to clear the Auto hide check box.
- Click OK.
To work around this issue:
- Press CTRL+ESC.
- Press ESC.
- Press ALT+SPACE. Click Move.
- Press the UP ARROW key to move the taskbar, and then press
ENTER.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this behavior is not caused by a problem
in Windows 98, but may be caused by design changes in Windows 98. For
more information about resolving this issue, contact the program's
manufacturer.
