WD2000: AutoCorrect Fails to Correct Removed Exception (229050)

When you add a word to the Other Corrections exceptions list (on the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect, and then click Exceptions) and then you delete that AutoCorrect exception, when you type the word in a document, it is not corrected.
CAUSE
Words added to the Other Corrections exceptions list are stored in your custom dictionary file and are not removed when you delete the exception from the list of Other Corrections.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, you must edit your custom dictionary to remove the word you added to (and then removed from) your list of Other Corrections.
To edit your custom dictionary:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Spelling & Grammar tab, click Dictionaries.
- In the Custom Dictionaries dialog box, click Edit.
- Click OK at the message.
- Find and delete the word that you added to your list of Other Corrections.
- On the File menu, click Save.
- Click YES at the message.
- On the File menu, click Close.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Spelling & Grammar tab, click to select the Check spelling as you type check box.
- Click OK.
